Computer Applications Education Specialist

This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to align the BCA program with industry trends and student needs.

  • We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of current trends and best practices in computer applications education.
  • A Masters degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or a related field (Ph.D. / NET / SET preferred).

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience teaching computer applications at the undergraduate level and prior leadership experience in higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to align the BCA program with industry trends and student needs.
  • Effectively manage departmental resources and oversee program development.
  • Enhance student learning outcomes and program effectiveness through data-driven strategies.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive learning environment within the department.
  • Oversee student advising, career counseling, and support services for BCA students.
  • Represent the BCA program at college events, industry conferences, and meetings.
  • Lead and motivate departmental staff to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or a related field (Ph.D. / NET / SET preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience teaching computer applications at the undergraduate level.
  • Prior leadership experience in higher education is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in computer applications education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students and faculty.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
