Senior Backend Developer

Description

The client is looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join their team and work on the backend of a live, regulated financial platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with TypeScript/AWS and be able to own backend delivery in a fast-paced environment.

This is an urgent hire as the client needs someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. The role involves building and extending backend services using TypeScript/Node.js, designing and maintaining PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and queries, and integrating with third-party APIs securely.

Required Skills
  • Strong TypeScript/Node.js skills, productive from day one
  • Hands-on with AWS Lambda and serverless patterns
  • PostgreSQL experience, schema design, performance tuning, real-world queries
  • Solid understanding of building secure, documented REST APIs
  • Able to work independently and communicate clearly
