Azure Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our IT team as an Azure Cloud Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure services and will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing our cloud-based infrastructure.

This role focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our cloud environments. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Azure IaaS solutions, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and backup services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage Azure IaaS solutions, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and backup services.
  • Monitor and maintain azure infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Implement and manage Azure governance solutions, including role-based access control (RBAC) and resource policies.
  • Perform regular health checks and security assessments of Azure environments, identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and meet their infrastructure needs, providing guidance on best practices for using Azure services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure and services.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on Azure.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar certification is highly appreciated.
