About SEED
The Center for Skills Education, Entrepreneurship and Development (SEED) is an initiative of Medhavi Skills Solutions Private Limited. It provides an innovative platform designed to collaborate with small and medium training centers and institutes across Tier II, Tier III and rural geographies, providing structured assessment and certification solutions.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated General Manager for Business Development to drive the growth and sustainability of our organization's network of centers and programs. The ideal candidate will lead a dynamic team, spearhead innovative campaigns, and foster partnerships to expand our footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Business Development
- Identify and onboard training centers, institutes, and franchise partners to scale SEED's network.
- Develop and execute business strategies to expand SEED's footprint across untapped Tier II, Tier III, and rural markets.
- Build a strong pipeline of clients, collaborators, and partners to drive sustainable revenue growth.
2. Partnership & Relationship Management
- Collaborate with training franchise networks, awarding bodies, and universities to create synergistic partnerships.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partners to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term engagement.
- Develop alliances with key stakeholders in the skilling and education ecosystem to enhance SEED's visibility and credibility.
3. Revenue Generation & Sales
- Drive revenue targets through innovative sales strategies, partnerships, and effective market penetration.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements, contracts, and MoUs with potential clients and partners.
- Track and report on revenue performance, ensuring alignment with business goals.
4. Market Analysis & Strategy Development
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights within the education, skilling, and certification sectors.
- Design tailored business models and proposals to meet partner needs while aligning with SEED's objectives.
- Analyze competitor offerings and market gaps to position SEED as a preferred partner in assessments and certifications.
5. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of business development professionals to meet organizational goals.
- Foster a results-oriented work environment while maintaining a collaborative and inclusive culture.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, marketing, finance, etc.) to ensure seamless partner onboarding and delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with an MBA in Marketing.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, ERP platforms, and proposal drafting.
- Excellent presentation, client management, and social media skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong networking skills in the education and training sectors.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, marketing, and center network development within the education/training sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of educational products and services, higher education processes, and vocational/skill education programs.
- Hands-on experience with PMKVY, DDUGKY, ITI, or reputed training center operations and implementations.
- Established connections with institutions and training centers.
Estimated Salary Range: ₹40 - ₹60 lakhs per annum.
