We are seeking a freelance SAS modeler engineer with a strong background in statistical modeling and Python development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, validate, and maintain complex statistical models using SAS and Python.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for migrating SAS to Python, ensuring seamless integration of systems and workflows.
  • Optimize SAS macros, procedures, and workflows into efficient Python equivalents, resulting in improved performance and scalability.
  • Establish modeling standards, workflows, and performance monitoring frameworks to drive business growth and competitiveness.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on Python adoption, coding best practices, and analytics workflows.
Requirements
  • Expertise in SAS, including Base SAS, SAS/STAT, Enterprise Miner, Visual Analytics, PROC SQL, and macros.
  • Proficiency in Python, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, and PySpark.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical concepts, including regression, forecasting, clustering, classification, A/B testing, and causal inference.
  • Experience leading large-scale SAS to Python transitions, ensuring successful outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders and drive business results.
