Job Opportunity:

  • We are seeking an experienced firmware developer to create x86 BIOS/UEFI code for high-performance systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C programming and x86 CPU/APU architectures, as well as proficiency with compilation tools.
  • Prior experience with platform bring-up and at least one BIOS code base (AMI, Insyde, or Phoenix BIOS) is required.
  • Familiarity with the opensource coreboot project and mainboard-related porting is highly desirable.
  • A deep understanding of UEFI framework concepts, including UEFI code porting to FSP, is essential.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of Git for code reviews, source code management, and BIOS releases to QA.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate with various teams for custom BIOS requirements.
  • Excellent grasp of industry standard protocols like PCIe, SPI, eSPI, and their applications.
  • Good understanding of specifications such as ACPI, SMM, and how they impact system design.
  • Deep comprehension of x86-64 architecture from a BIOS developer's perspective.
  • Understanding of Linux kernel software development concepts (Kconfig).
