Job Description:

Our organization seeks a skilled Bios Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, debugging, and maintaining x86 Bios/UEFI/FSP/coreboot source code. This role requires strong expertise in x86 architecture and open-source coreboot/FSP frameworks.

This position involves working closely with hardware, firmware, and validation teams to deliver robust and optimized Bios solutions for customer platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of platform bring-up activities, including mainboard porting and hardware initialization.

We are looking for a developer who can contribute to coreboot upstreaming and maintain board-specific configurations. Additionally, the candidate should be able to work with Intel FSP package source code and ensure seamless coreboot-FSP boot flow integration.

The selected candidate will analyze hardware specifications, port coreboot for new boards (GPIO, PCIe lanes, memory map, devicetree, etc.), and work with different payloads (EDK2, SeaBIOS, Tianocore) for OS bootloader handoff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of experience in x86 Bios/UEFI/FSP/coreboot development
  • Strong understanding of x86 CPU/APU architectures and associated toolchains
  • Expertise in C programming for low-level firmware development
  • Solid hands-on experience in platform bring-up and mainboard porting
  • Good exposure to coreboot upstreaming processes
  • Familiarity with coreboot boot stages, UPDs, memory map, devicetree concepts, payloads, and OS bootloader handoff
  • Experience working with Intel FSP source code, boot flows, and build processes
  • Knowledge of UEFI framework concepts to adapt/port UEFI code to FSP
  • Practical exposure to industry-standard protocols (PCIe, SPI, eSPI, ACPI, SMM)
  • Strong debugging skills in Bios/firmware source code and platform-level issues
