Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing design/analyses calculations related to wet utilities such as potable water, sewer, stormwater, highway drainage using governing engineering formulas, skills, and experience. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze wet utility systems including potable water, sewer, and stormwater drainage.
- Develop detailed designs and layouts for infrastructure projects.
- Prepare design options and documents for review and approval.
- Perform engineering computations, quantity takeoffs, specifications, and designs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and CAD designers.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in infrastructure design, particularly in water, wastewater, and storm drainage networks.
- Proven experience in modeling development using Sewer Gems, Water Gems, HEC-HMS, HEC RAS, InfoWorks ICM, WS Pro, Civil 3D, Navisworks, etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to clients and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in water resources engineering, environmental, or hydraulic engineering discipline.
- Experience working internationally, especially Africa and the Middle East would be an advantage.
