Accounting Operations Manager

This role requires a skilled accounting professional to oversee day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  • Plan, assign, and review staff's work
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Evaluate compliance with US GAAP principles
  • Liaise with Financial Controllers to improve financial procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an accountant or accounting manager
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • In-depth understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP)
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Xero and QuickBooks
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) will be preferred
  • General computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Accounting tools: Familiarity with accounting software packages, like Xero, QuickBooks
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Multitasking capacity
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Highly organized in document management with strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Responsible, reliable, great team player, and positive under any circumstances
