Job Role: Content Coordinator

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Content Coordinator to manage business content and ensure high-quality output.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, edit, and proofread engaging business articles and reports for accuracy, clarity, and style adherence.
  • Exercise excellent editorial judgment and attention to detail in managing content.
  • Write succinctly, objectively, and accurately under deadline pressure.
  • Handle multiple subject areas efficiently and effectively.
  • Translate Hindi stories into English for a diverse audience.
  • Verify facts, dates, statistics, and information to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with editors and team members to enhance quality and coherence of content.
  • Conduct research when necessary to fact-check and validate information.
  • Rewrite or restructure sentences, paragraphs, or sections for clarity, readability, and conciseness.
  • E nsure proper formatting, layout, and presentation of content, including headings, subheadings, bullet points, and lists.
  • Ensure all content meets high standards for ethical journalism, avoiding plagiarism and adhering to copyright laws.
  • Maintain consistent editorial style and tone across multiple articles or sections.
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure visual presentation of content is engaging and appealing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, current events, and relevant topics to contribute to content creation process.
  • Assist in development and implementation of editorial policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and pitch ideas for new content.
  • Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/PG/Master's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field.
  • Excellent command of English language, including exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to write/edit business copies.
  • Knowledge of business terminology.
  • Strong editing, proofreading, and fact-checking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Able to adjust to a well-defined editorial style & tone of voice.
  • Technically savvy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using editing tools and software.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems is an advantage.
