Job Description:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Kafka producers, consumers, and stream processing applications using Confluent Kafka.
  • Manage and administer Kafka clusters, including setting up brokers, topics, partitions, and replication to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka cluster performance, ensuring efficient message flow and addressing issues such as message lag or consumer group rebalancing.
  • Implement Kafka Connect and Kafka Streams for real-time data integration with external systems and data pipelines.
  • Ensure security and compliance by configuring Kafka with encryption, access control, and role-based authentication (RBAC).

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Kafka development and administration.
  • Strong understanding of Confluent Kafka and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with Kafka Connect and Kafka Streams.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices.
