The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration, scripting, and managing large-scale production environments. Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools is essential to ensure the smooth operation and scalability of our Kafka infrastructure.Responsibilities:● Manage and maintain Kafka clusters in production environments.● Monitor and optimize Kafka performance to ensure reliability and scalability.● Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell and Python to streamline operations and tasks.● Perform Linux administration tasks, including server setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.● Manage large-scale production workloads with a focus on availability, performance, and security.● Collaborate with the DevOps and Engineering teams to integrate Kafka with CI/CD pipelines.● Implement and manage observability tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana for monitoring and alerting.● Ensure smooth Kafka operations within AWS environments, leveraging cloud infrastructure to meet business needs.Required Skills & Qualifications:● 3+ years of experience managing and administering Kafka clusters.Install, configure, and manage Kafka clusters in

KRaft mode

(Kafka without Zookeeper).● Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python for automation.● Strong experience in Linux administration and troubleshooting.● Proven experience managing large-scale production environments with Kafka.● Familiarity with CI/CD technologies and hands-on experience with observability tools like New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana.● Hands-on experience working with AWS environments and cloud technologies.● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:● Experience with disaster recovery and Kafka security.● Knowledge of Kafka stream processing and Kafka Connect.● Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
