Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer Specialist

This position is responsible for designing and developing cloud-based data pipelines using AWS Glue, Python, EMR/Spark, and Kafka/Kinesis streaming.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in relational database design and development with a preference for Aurora Postgres.

They will also be skilled in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures, as well as troubleshooting and resolving data quality issues.

In addition, the selected candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud-based data pipelines using AWS Glue, Python, EMR/Spark, and Kafka/Kinesis streaming
  • Develop relational databases with a focus on Aurora Postgres
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues
  • Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in cloud technologies with a focus on AWS
  • Hands-on experience building data pipelines using Glue, Python, EMR/Spark, and Kafka/Kinesis streaming
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of relational database design and development with a preference for Aurora Postgres
  • Experience with Postgres SQL and writing complex queries and stored procedures
