Job Title

Our company is seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to lead our modern data engineering efforts in the cloud.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data integration, transformation, and migration tools such as Azure Data Factory or Synapse Data Factory. They should be passionate about working on complex data migration projects and possess a strong foundation in data engineering concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory or Synapse Data Factory for data migration and ETL processes.
  • Build and administer scalable, secure cloud-based data lakes to store and manage structured and unstructured data during and post-migration.
  • Utilize cloud-based services like Azure Databricks, Synapse Spark Pools, Python, and PySpark for advanced data transformation and processing.
  • Develop and fine-tune SQL/T-SQL scripts for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and reporting in cloud-based databases.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a clear focus on SQL workload migration to the cloud.
  • Deep expertise in: Azure Data Factory / Synapse Data Factory, cloud-based data lakes, Azure Databricks / Synapse Spark Pools, Python and PySpark, SQL
  • Cloud-based data warehousing – design, development, and migration
  • Proven track record of delivering complex data migration projects (on-prem to cloud, or cloud-to-cloud).
  • Cloud computing certification preferred.
