Shooting Instructor Position

Our school is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shooting Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for promoting shooting as both a competitive and life-skill sport.

Job Description

We are looking for an instructor who can develop and implement a structured shooting program that promotes skill, discipline, and excellence in the sport. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering age-appropriate training sessions for beginners, intermediate, and advanced shooters.

• Design and deliver training sessions for students of different age groups and skill levels.
• Focus on developing students' technical, tactical, and mental skills required in shooting sports.
• Identify and nurture talent for district, state, national, and international competitions.
• Provide individualized guidance to students to enhance their performance and confidence.

Program Development and Leadership

The successful candidate will establish a structured shooting curriculum integrated with the school's sports vision. They will promote shooting as a sport that requires focus, discipline, and concentration. Additionally, they will coordinate with the Head of Sports Management for event participation and talent promotion.

Safety and Facility Management

The instructor will ensure strict adherence to safety protocols at all times. They will oversee the maintenance of the shooting range equipment and accessories, maintain records of equipment usage and servicing inventory, and train students in responsible use and care of equipment.

Assessment and Reporting

The instructor will monitor and evaluate student performance progress. They will share feedback and progress reports with students, parents, and school leadership. Additionally, they will maintain accurate records of training sessions, performance outcomes, and competition results.

Events and Competitions

The instructor will prepare students for intra-school, inter-school, and external shooting competitions. They will organize shooting events, demonstrations, and awareness programs at the school. Additionally, they will build pathways for students aspiring to pursue shooting professionally.

Professional Development

The instructor will stay updated on the latest techniques, technologies, and regulations in shooting sports. They will network with federations, academies, and sports bodies to expand opportunities for students. Additionally, they will continuously enhance coaching methods and strategies through training and certifications.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or Sports Science. They should also be certified as a Shooting Coach by a recognized national organization, such as the National Rifle Association of India. Additional certifications in sports psychology and fitness training are desirable. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Shooting Coach with a proven track record of coaching at school, academy, and competitive levels is required. Experience in training students for district, state, national, and international competitions is essential.
