Job Title: Database Management Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Database Management Specialist. This role will involve developing and designing technology solutions that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the success of our business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Management of production databases servers, including security, deployment, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
  • Setting up SQL Server replication, mirroring, and high availability across hybrid environments.
  • Design and implementation of new installations on Azure and AWS cloud hosting with no specific DB services.
  • Deploy and maintain on-premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/MySQL installation.
  • Database security and protection against SQL injection, exploiting intellectual property, etc.
  • Collaboration with development teams to assist with data storage and query design/optimization where required.
  • Participation in the design and implementation of essential applications.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in database administration and management.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Experience with cloud hosting platforms, such as Azure and AWS.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
