Job DescriptionAt our organization, we're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to manage the merchandising process from initial inquiry to final shipment. This key role involves effective communication with buyers and internal teams, ensuring seamless order fulfillment.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel), as well as familiarity with ERP/MIS systems. Knowledge of fabric types, trims, washes, and garment construction is also essential.
- Develop samples and ensure timely approvals from buyers.
- Prepare Time and Action calendars for each order.
- Source raw materials, coordinate production schedules, and monitor quality parameters.
- Procure trims and fabrics on time, managing vendor relationships and supplier communications.
- Track order status, production progress, and delivery timelines to prevent delays.
Additional responsibilities include preparing costing sheets, negotiating prices with buyers and suppliers, and maintaining accurate merchandising records and reports. The selected candidate will be expected to stay up-to-date on trends, pricing, and buyer expectations through market research.
Key Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or related field.
- Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and adaptability.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and ERP/MIS systems.
- Knowledge of fabric properties and garment construction.
