System Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production systems during night shifts, providing prompt response to incidents and executing End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-Day (BOD) job processes.

Key Responsibilities include coordinating DC and DR failover activities, system patching processes and collaboration with different teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise with EOD/BOD in production environment, DC/DR Switch & Failovers, Linux, Control-M and Dynatrace.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in handling financial critical system operations for Exchange, Clearing Corporation or banking industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Preferred domains including Stock or Commodity Exchange / Broking Firms, IT enabled services / Banking / Financial / etc

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with EOD/BOD job handling and managing DC, DR failover activities, System patching processes and coordination with different teams
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in managing Linux systems
  • Basic understanding of database systems (DB2)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during the night shift
  • Dedication towards duties and responsibilities
  • Team building and leadership
