We are seeking an experienced and proactive Chief Engineer to oversee the entire engineering operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth functioning of all hotel facilities, maintain high safety standards, and support our commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all aspects of hotel maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, water systems, and general building upkeep. This includes developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Oversee and manage all hotel maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with statutory safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to optimize asset utilization and minimize energy consumption.
- Supervise and train a team of engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of productivity and adherence to safety standards.
- Monitor utility consumption and implement initiatives to reduce waste and promote sustainability.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and government authorities for repair, maintenance, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all equipment, systems, and facilities comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
- At least 1 year of prior experience as a Chief Engineer in a hotel environment.
- Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Leadership and team management skills with hands-on problem-solving ability.
- Good communication, planning, and organizational skills.
