Job Title: Data Storage Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Firmware Developer with expertise in storage system design and firmware development. The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter with deep knowledge of storage technologies, capable of making architectural trade-offs to optimize performance and power across diverse use cases.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams in architecture, hardware, validation, and software services, contributing to the design, modeling, validation, and production of next-generation storage products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and customize controller firmware for enterprise-class storage solutions.
  • Work on firmware development with a strong focus on NAND Flash technologies (SLC, TLC, QLC).
  • Contribute to modeling efforts for storage products from concept through production.
  • Support device characterization, benchmarking, and performance optimization.
  • Closely collaborate with architecture, hardware, validation, and software teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex firmware issues across multiple layers.
  • Earn your organization's trust by working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in the storage domain (SSD/HDD).
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and assembly programming.
  • Familiarity with storage interfaces: PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA, SAS, UFS, eMMC.
  • Proven experience with firmware design, customization, and support.
  • Exceptional analytical and abstract thinking ability with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Prior exposure to device drivers is beneficial.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
