Enterprise Storage and Backup Professional

The primary role of this position is to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise storage and backup solutions.

  • Responsibilities include administering, configuring, and troubleshooting IBM Flash System 7300 (FS7300) and IBM SVC environments.
  • Management and optimization of Net App C Series storage arrays involve provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Data replication strategies will be implemented and maintained using IBM replication technologies and Net App.
  • The design, implementation, and management of Veritas Net Backup 11 solutions are also part of this role.
  • Net Backup Flex Scale and Net Backup Flex Appliances administration and troubleshooting are required skills.
  • Configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Brocade SAN switches are additional responsibilities.

Strong knowledge and practical experience with Inter-Switch Links (ISL) configuration and optimization, as well as the ability to execute switch replacements and upgrades in a production environment with minimal downtime, are expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Storage Administrator.
  • Strong expertise in IBM Storage: IBM Flash System 7300 (FS7300) and IBM SVC.
  • Strong expertise in Net App Storage: Net App C Series and Snap Mirror replication.
  • Strong expertise in Veritas Net Backup 11: Including Net Backup Flex Scale and Net Backup Flex Appliances.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM replication technologies.
  • Proven experience with Brocade SAN switches: Including ISL configuration and switch replacement procedures.
  • Solid understanding of Fibre Channel protocols, zoning, and multipathing.
  • Experience with performance analysis and tuning of storage systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
