Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Installation: Design electrical and instrumentation systems for new installations, upgrades, and modifications. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Safety and Quality: Supervise on-site installation of electrical and instrumentation systems, maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance procedures for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Project Management: Assist in preparing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
  • Risk Assessment and Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and participate in safety audits and reviews. Ensure all electrical and instrumentation work adheres to safety regulations and standards.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of equipment, repairs, inspections, and upgrades. Prepare technical reports, as-built drawings, and documentation for completed projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in refinery, oil & gas, power, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Desirable Skills: Proven experience in designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and instrumentation. Experience with control systems, PLCs, SCADA, and automation is highly preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Electrical Standards and Regulations: Strong knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).
  • Testing and Commissioning: Hands-on experience with electrical and instrumentation testing and commissioning.
  • Process Control and Automation: Familiarity with process control and automation systems such as DCS and PLCs.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Project Management and Organization: Strong project management and organizational skills.
