About this role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering engaging and rigorous lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for the English language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Planning and Delivery: Design and implement MYP & DP English curriculum in alignment with IB standards. Develop dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse needs of learners. Utilize various teaching methods and resources to engage students.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Create and administer formative and summative assessments. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students. Use assessment data to inform instruction and support student progress.
  • Classroom Management: Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Implement effective classroom management strategies. Foster a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities. Stay current with educational best practices and IB developments. Collaborate with colleagues to share strategies and resources.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Prepare progress reports and conduct parent-teacher conferences. Engage in regular collaboration with the IB Coordinator and other faculty members.
  • Extracurricular Involvement: Support and participate in school events and extracurricular activities. Mentor students and contribute to their holistic development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Teaching certification/licensure for the relevant grade level.
  • Experience teaching in the IB Middle Years & DP Programme preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MYP&DP philosophy, framework, and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
