Data Engineer Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain large-scale data processing systems.
  • You will be responsible for developing scalable data pipelines, extracting insights from complex data sets, and providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Data Engineering Requirements

You must have experience with tools like Google BigQuery and SQL, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Perl.

  • Developing scripts to extract, transform, and update datasets
  • Building reports and dashboards using Google Analytics and Google Looker Studio
Problem Solving & Pipeline Development

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data engineering requirements, design scalable data pipelines, and implement solutions that meet business needs.

  • Using data to propose solutions and actionable recommendations
  • Designing and implementing efficient data storage formats such as Parquet or ORC
Performance Optimization

To enhance query performance, you will analyze SQL queries and stored procedures, apply techniques such as indexing, partitioning, parallel processing, caching, and in-memory computing.

  • Identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing improvements
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment
Scheduling & Automation

You will schedule and manage workflows using tools like Airflow, Dreampipe, or similar job schedulers.

  • Defining workflow dependencies and ensuring smooth execution
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting workflow issues
Release Engineering

You will support on-demand and scheduled release management processes for data pipelines.

  • Coordinating releases with cross-functional teams
  • Ensuring timely and successful deployment of data pipelines
