Job Title: Compliance Officer

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the organization's adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards. This includes overseeing internal processes, vendor risk management, regulatory filings, and compliance training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and maintain documentation to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Evaluate the organization's governance framework to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
  • Review and assess internal processes to identify control gaps and support the implementation of robust internal controls.
  • Audit onboarding, training, and operations of Point of Sale staff in accordance with applicable compliance guidelines.
  • Support the development and testing of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) frameworks.
  • Develop and conduct regular training sessions on Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Know Your Customer (KYC) norms, cybersecurity, and operational risk management.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting timely, accurate documentation for statutory filings such as shareholding changes and periodic returns.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify areas of non-compliance and provide tailored, risk-based recommendations.
  • Perform compliance and risk assessments on third-party vendors to ensure appropriate controls are in place.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with a Company Secretary (CS) certification or an LLB / LLM degree in Corporate Law / Compliance will be preferred. Other suitable backgrounds include Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance / Risk / Compliance, and Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or Business Law with relevant compliance or risk management experience.

Required Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in regulatory compliance, audits, or governance is required. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, and internal control systems is essential. Excellent communication and presentation skills are also necessary.
