Finance Audit Professional

About the Role:

The Finance Audit Specialist is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting of the organization. This role requires a highly skilled finance professional with experience in establishing robust financial systems, implementing world-class financial processes, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the financial and audit strategy in alignment with the organization's overall strategic objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management on financial planning, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and strategic plans, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Establish a comprehensive audit framework and policies aligned with international best practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify key areas of financial risk and develop a risk-based audit plan.
  • Implement and manage internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud.
  • Oversight of financial accounting, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and fixed asset management.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, providing clear and concise explanations of financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Professional accounting certification highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in auditing, finance, and accounting roles, with at least 5-7 years in a senior management position.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing robust financial audit systems and implementing world-class financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or other relevant international accounting standards.
