About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity to lead a high-performing production manufacturing engineering team in delivering quality products within tight project deadlines.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Tender Phase:
    • Develop industrial assumptions aligned with industry standards and the company's technical library.
    • Validate cost estimates related to industrial aspects of tenders.
  • Project Execution Phase:
    • Implement standard processes and product solutions (SMP/SML, equipment, and tools).
    • Ensure manufacturability and transferability using validated technologies.
    • Enforce co-engineering rules to optimize development lead time and quality.
    • Validate industrial gate reviews during design for quality (DFQ) process.
    • Confirm readiness for serial go based on industrial scope.
    • Ensure timely, complete, and high-quality documentation and enterprise resource planning (ERP) data.
    • Oversee the implementation of manufacturing equipment aligned with environmental health and safety (EHS) standards, ergonomics, and project quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets.
    • Support production with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Special Processes & Operations:
    • Organize and manage special processes and critical operations impacting product safety and reliability.
  • Resource Management:
    • Plan and manage staff capacity and skill development.
    • Monitor current and projected workloads.
    • Manage EHS compliance in industrialization and support broader management activities.
    • Foster team involvement in manufacturing networks and contribute to standard improvements.

  • Minimum 15 years in industrial roles, preferably in the railway sector within an international organization.
  • Proven team leadership in engineering and technical environments.
  • Technical expertise in:
    • Process engineering
    • Manufacturing documentation
    • Line balancing
    • Lean manufacturing
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for:
    • Bill of Materials (BOM)
