About a Solutions Consultant Role

A Solutions Consultant is responsible for bridging the gap between technical and business worlds.

Responsibilities:Pre-Sales Solutioneer
  • Understand customer pain points, then map solutions to their unique needs.
  • Deliver high-impact product demos that blend technical depth with business relevance.
  • Translate complex technical jargon into crisp, relatable value propositions.
  • Articulate what's possible today vs. tomorrow in the sales process.
Customer Success Guardian
  • Ensure smooth onboarding from 'purchase' to 'productive' without hiccups.
  • Build lasting relationships as a trusted advisor and go-to problem solver.
  • Monitor product adoption and usage trends; step in proactively before issues escalate.
  • Run reviews showing customers the ROI they're getting and hint at untapped potential.
  • Identify upsell and expansion opportunities framed as customer value, not just revenue.
Internal Collaborator
  • Partner with Sales, Success, and Product teams bringing real-world customer insights back into product roadmap conversations.
  • Create and maintain solution assets (demo scripts, FAQs, best-practice guides) to scale the team's impact.
  • Be the voice of both the prospect and the customer internally.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA/technical background a plus). 2–4 years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Pre-Sales, or Customer Success.
  • Sales + Tech Hybrid: You can talk business outcomes with an exec, then discuss APIs or integrations with engineers.
  • Customer-Centric: Strong track record in building trust and ensuring customer success.
  • Communication Pro: Confident presenter able to simplify complexity.
  • Analytical + Creative: Problem-solving mindset designing solutions that are both practical and impressive.
  • Tools: Familiarity with CRM, demo automation, and SaaS productivity tools.
