Lead Systems Architect

The goal of the Senior Linux Engineer is to design, build, and maintain high-performance compute platforms that enable researchers and portfolio managers to run complex models and experiments.
- Create scalable and efficient infrastructure for data-driven research and analysis.
- Develop tools to improve performance, monitoring, and automation of HPC clusters.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across storage, OS, and networking layers.
- Implement centralized multi-tenant clustered platforms for optimized resource utilization.
- Expertise in engineering, deployment, and management of large-scale (250+ servers) Linux infrastructure, preferably in financial services or HPC environments.
- Strong knowledge of distributed file systems (Lustre, GPFS), filesystems (ZFS, XFS, ext4), and network protocols (NFS, CIFS, SMB).
- Proficiency in Linux configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, as well as x86/AMD platform optimization.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and scripting languages (Python, Shell).
- Hybrid and cloud-native HPC deployment experience, with a focus on AWS; expertise in AWS storage services (S3, Storage Gateway, EBS) and AI/ML HPC offerings (AWS/GCP).
- Knowledge of HPC job schedulers (Slurm, Condor, Airflow, SGE) and hardware familiarity with leading manufacturers (HPE, Dell, Supermicro).
