Senior Regional Building Materials Category Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Regional Building Materials Category Lead to spearhead the growth and profitability of our building materials category in a defined region.

This strategic role will be responsible for driving sales and revenue expansion, managing a team of procurement and category managers, and ensuring full P&L ownership.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in building material sourcing, pricing strategy, vendor management, and category growth in the construction or real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive category expansion and margin improvement through market trend analysis and customer demand monitoring.
  • Develop and execute strategies for cost efficiency and supplier relationship management.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of regional P&L for building materials.
  • Align category performance with overall business targets and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Lead and manage a team of 8–10 category and procurement managers across the region.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance.

Requirements:

  • 10–18 years of experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain – preferably in the construction, infrastructure, or building materials industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing large teams, handling regional P&L, and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of building materials procurement, pricing structures, and vendor ecosystem.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
