Operations Excellence Manager Role Overview

This senior management position focuses on overseeing and optimizing end-to-end business operations to ensure high-quality service delivery. The role involves client management, people & performance management, cross-functional team leadership, process efficiency, stakeholder collaboration, and business growth.

The key deliverables of this position include:

  • Driving business transformation initiatives with a focus on operational excellence
  • Designing and implementing operational frameworks tailored to the vertical
  • Formulating and managing detailed KPI tables across e-commerce domains
  • Leading improvement initiatives in internal business/operational processes
  • Driving innovation and automation for waste elimination and efficiency improvement
  • Engaging employees in various operational excellence initiatives

Service Delivery Responsibilities

  • Providing support to process owners located at different locations, including people management, performance tracking/financial analysis, and adherence to BGO policies/standards
  • Ensuring adherence to defined service levels by the client
  • Headcount management and coordination at client sites

Project and Team Management

  • Overseeing multiple projects across LOBs, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
  • Leading a diverse team of 20+ members, including Business Analysts, Process Excellence Leads/AMs, and content developers
  • Fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture through clear goals, mentoring, and driving accountability

Operational and Process Excellence

  • Identifying process gaps and implementing efficiency-driven solutions to improve workflows and service delivery
  • Collaborating with Process Excellence Analysts to standardize operations, reduce inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement
  • Leveraging data insights to track performance, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with SLAs

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or Manager
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated project/program management skills
  • Extensive understanding of mistake-proofing and automation tools
  • Lean Six Sigma GB certified (or BB trained) is an added advantage
  • E-commerce/internet industry experience either directly or indirectly as a service provider is beneficial
  • People management skills
  • Great communication skills, self-motivated independent worker, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a diverse team across multiple functions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in project management tools, reporting dashboards, and financial systems is a plus
