Job Description

The ideal candidate will lead the development of all aspects of research in Electrical Power Systems Engineering, focusing on software-defined power. This involves managing stranded power in a DC system.

This position requires collaboration with core teams to develop and implement DC electrical designs for new developments, infrastructure upgrades, and rectifications. The goal is to reduce costs and achieve specific cost savings by incorporating the latest technologies.

The successful candidate will participate in new technology insertions through collaboration with the engineering team, providing site-specific requirements during the development of BODs. Quarterly reviews of technologies and commercials for key aspects will also be conducted.

Familiarity with simulation and modeling software, such as MATLAB and COMSOL, is essential for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. A major in Power Engineering is advantageous.

Candidates should possess experience in designing, constructing, and commissioning medium/Low voltage /High Voltage electrical distribution systems, AC/DC systems, and associated power management/SCADA tools.

Prior knowledge of power system condition monitoring is also necessary.
