PHP Lead Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional PHP Lead to join our team.

Job Description

The PHP Lead will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality PHP code, with a strong understanding of core PHP and object-oriented programming principles. This includes working with both legacy (CodeIgniter 1) and modern (CodeIgniter 4) versions of the CodeIgniter framework, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality PHP code with strong understanding of core PHP and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Work with both legacy (CodeIgniter 1) and modern (CodeIgniter 4) versions of the CodeIgniter framework, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
  • Utilize Python for various tasks, leveraging strong proficiency in the language.
  • Design, optimize, and manage MySQL databases with hands-on experience.
  • Implement JavaScript (ES6+) for client-side functionality and backend services integration, ensuring solid knowledge.
  • Perform peer code reviews to ensure code quality, readability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Write and maintain unit tests to guarantee code reliability and regression prevention.
  • Manage version control with Git, utilizing proficient skills in branching and collaborative development.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs for consuming and creating endpoints, drawing from experience.
  • Optimize performance on both frontend and backend, staying updated with the latest technology trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of PHP, including core PHP and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience working with CodeIgniter 1 and CodeIgniter 4 frameworks.
  • Proficient in Python for various tasks.
  • Familiarity with MySQL databases and ability to design, optimize, and manage them.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) for client-side functionality and backend services integration.
  • Ability to perform peer code reviews and write/maintain unit tests.
  • Proficient in Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs for consuming and creating endpoints.
