Job Opportunity: Aviation Project Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our aviation project team.

About the Role
  • This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex airport projects from concept to completion.
  • You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and managing projects to deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and stakeholders are essential.
Responsibilities
  • Lead airfield civil engineering projects from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction.
  • Deliver technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications for airfield engineering projects in the UK and overseas.
  • Maintain quality management requirements through technical design reviews.
  • Collaborate with team members, industry associates, and Clients on design coordination and communication.
  • Identify and manage design risks, issues, and Request for Information (RFIs).
  • Support Project Managers in project progress monitoring and control.
  • Implement technical quality requirements and meet client deadlines.
  • Mentor and lead junior staff, promoting excellent health and safety in design.
Requirements
  • 10 years of civil infrastructure design experience at airports.
  • Civil engineering experience working on large, complex airport projects from concept to detailed design and construction support.
  • Experience managing engineers in aviation projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-leadership, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • International airfield design standards knowledge (ICAO, FAA).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software packages.
