As a skilled Backend Developer with a product mindset, you will be an integral part of our team.

Our company helps finance, operations & IT teams optimize software spend and streamline the renewal and buying process.

We're seeking a passionate developer who is not only proficient in coding but also curious about product management. This opportunity allows you to deepen your backend development skills while gaining exposure to how product decisions are made.

You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer teams to build integrations, debug live issues, read API docs, and contribute to system infrastructure.

  • Write clean, efficient Java code and develop scalable backend components
  • Read and understand external API documentation to assist in building new integrations
  • Debug production issues by analyzing logs and participating in on-call rotations.
  • Test and validate APIs using Postman or similar tools
  • Participate in on-call debugging sessions with customers to resolve real-time issues
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into technical tasks
  • Take part in technical analysis, design discussions, and roadmap planning
  • Develop and maintain robust APIs to support integrations
  • Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD practices

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 1-2 years of backend development experience in Java
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting API documentation
  • Hands-on experience with Spring, Hibernate, or similar frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of product thinking or interest in pursuing product management in the future
  • Familiarity with tools like Postman, log analyzers, and version control systems (Git)
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work cross-functionally
