Job Title:  Java Application Support Specialist

As a Java Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of our enterprise applications. This role involves delivering high-quality support services to our customers, resolving technical issues efficiently, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver Expert-Level Support:  Provide timely and effective support to customers using their Java-based enterprise applications, focusing on incident resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis:  Perform thorough investigations to identify the underlying causes of application issues, driving efficiency in troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Maintain Optimal Performance:  Proactively monitor and address potential issues that may impact application performance, working closely with development and infrastructure teams.
  • Collaborate with Teams:  Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations, including development, infrastructure, and quality assurance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Technical Skills:  In-depth knowledge of Java, database management systems (SQL, MongoDB), application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic), ITSM tools (ServiceNow, JIRA), scripting languages (Shell scripting, Unix/Linux), and observability tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Industry Certifications:  Relevant industry certifications, such as ITIL Foundation or equivalent, are highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills:  Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
