Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise ServiceNow CMDB Architect to join our team at Ensono. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing ServiceNow CMDB solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT data management and experience with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tools. They will be responsible for maintaining and updating the ServiceNow CMDB to ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration data, as well as developing and implementing processes for CMDB data quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the ServiceNow CMDB to ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration data.
  • Develop and implement processes for CMDB data quality and integrity.
  • Perform regular audits and reconciliation of the CMDB to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Design and execute data import processes to load data into the CMDB from various sources.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of imported data.
  • Develop and maintain scripts or tools to automate data import and quality control processes.
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards to provide insights into CMDB data and related IT assets.
  • Generate custom reports to meet the needs of different stakeholders within the organization.
  • Analyze data trends and provide recommendations for improving data management practices.
  • Utilize SQL to query and manipulate data for reporting and quality control purposes.
  • Develop scripts or applications to enhance the functionality and automation of CMDB-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate CMDB data with other IT systems and tools.
  • Work closely with IT, operations, and other departments to understand data requirements and deliver accurate reports.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on using ServiceNow CMDB and related reporting tools.
  • Act as a point of contact for any CMDB-related inquiries or issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT data management, database administration, or a similar role.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tools is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, reporting, and data manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
  • Experience with data import/export processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM modules is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
