About the Role

At SoftSync, we are building the next generation of relationship intelligence. We're looking for a skilled Backend Developer to strengthen our remote team in India. This is an exciting opportunity to develop scalable backend systems that power our product, with a strong focus on data, cloud services, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We're seeking someone who can design and build GraphQL APIs using NestJS.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience developing secure, performant backend services handling large-scale data.
  • Strong knowledge of Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and DynamoDB is essential.
  • Collaboration with frontend, DevOps, and data teams to deliver full-stack features is crucial.
  • Maintaining code quality with unit and integration testing (Jest, SuperTest, etc.) is vital.
  • We use Docker and Kubernetes for development, testing, and deployment.
  • Maintaining backend services with AWS and designing efficient queries and data models in Postgres and DynamoDB is key.
  • Implementing containerized applications using Docker and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions is essential.
  • Ensuring code quality through best practices, testing, and documentation is crucial.
  • Participating in design reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives and continuously improving architecture and suggesting optimizations is vital.
  • A deep understanding of event-driven architecture and message queues (Kafka) is necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development.
  • Proficiency with AWS services.
  • Strong knowledge of Postgres and DynamoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
