Android Malware Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Android Malware Analyst to join our team.

About the Role:

  • Perform static and dynamic analysis of Android malware using advanced tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, Frida, Jadx, Burp Suite, and HTTPToolkit.
  • Reverse-engineer malicious APKs and SDKs to understand behavior and intent.
  • Identify spyware, trojans, rootkits, and other threats by analyzing network traffic and backend systems for vulnerabilities and data leakage.
  • Document findings and present reports to technical and non-technical stakeholders using clear and concise language.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detection signatures (e.g., YARA rules) and improve threat detection pipelines and automation systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of reverse engineering tools and techniques.
  • Programming skills in languages such as Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Flutter, and Python.
  • Experience with platforms and frameworks including VirusTotal, ExploitDB, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Understanding of security techniques including static/dynamic analysis, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment.
  • Familiarity with Android internals and lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of mobile app store policies and security best practices.
  • Ability to analyze network traffic and protocol interception.
  • PHA category definitions and IOCs understanding.
  • SOC operations, SIEM configuration, IDS/IPS systems experience.
