Data Engineer in the Cloud

The successful candidate will design, develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines in the cloud. This includes batch and real-time processing in a cloud ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include building complex datasets based on business requirements, constructing pipeline architectures and identifying opportunities for data acquisition via collaboration with stakeholders and clients.
The ideal candidate will leverage various tools such as Python, Cloud Functions, Pub Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage to integrate systems and data pipelines.
They will also use logs & alerts to effectively monitor pipelines, utilize Terraform to ensure the reliability and scalability of data pipelines, partition and retrieve content in Big Query, and secure the data using IAM roles & Policy Tags.
- Requires 5-7 years of experience in a data engineering role – with core cloud experience of 3-4 years.
- Work time will be in Central Standard Time, until 2 am Indian Standard Time on most days.
- 1-2 times in a month, the resource might be needed to stretch their work hours by 1-2 hours.
