Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Design Professional to lead our team's design efforts. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing 3D models and 2D drawings of heavy fabrication components, ensuring manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Development: Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of complex fabrication components, including frames, booms, arms, chassis, brackets, and sheet metal.
  2. Strength Calculations: Perform strength, tolerance, and weld design calculations to ensure the structural integrity of our designs.
  3. Manufacturing Optimization: Ensure that our designs are optimized for manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, machining, and welding.
  4. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical specifications, bill of materials (BOMs), and release drawings for production.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, and customer standards, maintaining the highest level of quality in our products.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CAD Software: Hands-on expertise in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Key Creator Atlas.
  • Fabrication Knowledge: Strong understanding of GD&T, welding symbols, and fabrication processes.
  • Heavy Steel Structures: Experience in designing and developing heavy steel structures and assemblies.
