Senior Technical Specialist

This is a full-time role where you will leverage your technical expertise to drive project success, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive technical reviews of sourcing requests from internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Design high-voltage cables that meet customer requirements and industry standards by leveraging your knowledge of cable design principles.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize their sourcing requests based on supplier capabilities.
  • Review cable inquiries from customers and convert them into actionable cable sourcing requests.
  • Conduct technical clarifications with suppliers to resolve any queries or concerns.
  • Apply your analytical skills to perform short circuit calculations using Excel to determine the required wire screen/metal sheath size.
  • Calculate ampacity using CYMCAP to verify conductor sizes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Determine drum length using the drum length calculation tool (Excel) to streamline logistics.
  • Verify technical data sheets from suppliers for accuracy and completeness.
  • Evaluate prequalification and type test coverage of the cables offered by suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Ensure all external-facing documents align with the supplier marketing strategy to maintain consistency.
  • Develop Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans with suppliers to guarantee compliance.
  • Prepare technical contracts and review quality records from suppliers to ensure accountability.
  • Witness in-process, routine, and sample tests to guarantee product quality, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Prepare type tests to validate product performance, meeting industry standards.
