Job Role Overview

The Senior Admission Counsellor is a key position responsible for engaging with assigned leads and initiating contact through the auto dialer system.

To qualify leads, the successful candidate will assess their interest, needs, and eligibility for upGrad's programs.

Built rapport, credibility, and trust with leads are crucial through effective communication and active listening. This role involves scheduling Video Counselling (VC) sessions with Admission Counsellors for qualified leads and coordinating schedules to facilitate smooth communication between leads and Admission Counsellors for enrollment purposes.

Maintaining accurate records of lead interactions and follow-up activities in the CRM system is essential.

Main Responsibilities
  • Engage with assigned leads via auto dialer system
  • Qualify leads based on interest, needs, and eligibility
  • Schedule Video Counselling (VC) sessions with Admission Counsellors
  • Cordinate schedules for smooth communication
  • Maintain accurate records of lead interactions
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Edtech-sales experience (Study Abroad a plus)
  • At least 1 year spent in a single company
  • Min Graduation required
  • Previous experience working a 6-day work week
  • Currently working as an individual contributor
  • Proven track record of meeting targets in existing company
Skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with emphasis on fluency in English language
  • Ability to listen effectively and approach situations with patience and empathy
  • Ability to persuade learners towards attending Video Counselling (VC) session and influence enrollment decisions
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite & CRM management for administrative tasks and reporting requirements
