The Chief Academic Officer leads the strategic direction of a medical university, ensuring academic and research excellence.

They oversee various responsibilities, including academics, operations, student experience, and global partnerships. Strategy and innovation are key, along with building strong teams, nurturing talent, and ensuring students and faculty thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key duties and accountabilities include:

  • Drive continuous improvement of curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment based on learning outcomes and industry needs.
  • Build a vibrant research culture by supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities and securing research funding.

Other key areas of focus include:

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Representing the university at national and international platforms to build visibility and reputation.

For this role, we seek an experienced academic leader with a strong track record in higher education management and a passion for driving academic excellence.

A minimum 10+ years of experience as professor or equivalent positions held in a university system or research organizations is required. A distinguished academician with teaching experience in a reputable institution, a medical Doctor or Doctor of Philosophy from a premier institution would be highly desirable.
