Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to lead the design and implementation of our database infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, architecture, and design, with experience in Sybase ASE, RS, and IQ.

Responsibilities include designing and managing scalable database configurations, automating patch deployments and installations, optimizing data storage and retrieval, ensuring data integrity and security, and collaborating with application developers and system administrators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage database architectures for homogeneous and heterogeneous environments.
  • Automate database deployment and management tasks using scripting languages.
  • Optimize database performance, indexing, and query execution.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance database operations and interactions.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and resiliency strategies.
  • Manage database migrations and upgrades.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues using various tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8-15 years of experience in database administration, architecture, and design.
  • Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL, index defragmentation, re-indexing, query optimization, and client/server connectivity.
  • Strong experience in automating database tasks, replication monitoring, and backup/recovery scheduling.
  • Knowledge of Azure/AWS integration, shell scripting, and ITIL framework.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and presentation skills.
