Accountant Development Position

We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a development-focused role. This position will be responsible for financial reporting, development accounting, and supporting key operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate financial statements and ledgers.
  • Handle draw accounting, including preparation and tracking of draw requests.
  • Process and approve payables, wire requests, and ensure timely disbursements.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Record rent and other receivables accurately and on time.
  • Monitor tenant ledgers, reconcile payments, and follow up on overdue balances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting queries.
  • Provide insights and support for property-related decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience in U.S. property management (development focus preferred).
  • Proficiency in Yardi software.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge Areas: Development accounting, draw accounting, financial statements, wire transfers, payables, and payroll processing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
