Job Title: Senior HR Director

Overview:

The Senior HR Director plays a pivotal role in spearheading the Human Resources function for Quality & Operations functions at our Indore Manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Partner: Provide guidance on employee relations, human resource programs, and practices to align with business objectives. Collaborate with management to understand business needs and develop a people strategy accordingly.
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Identify talent requirements based on business priorities and plan budgetary allocations accordingly. Ensure seamless onboarding experiences for new hires.
  • HR Manpower Planning, Budgeting: Assist in the budgeting process of all HR items (Manpower costs, Opex Costs) and headcount requirements. Regularly review and monitor actual spend against approved budgets, ensuring optimum utilization of manpower budgets and trend analysis to maintain within-budget manpower costs.
  • Performance Management: Drive continuous performance management and annual compensation reviews for the site. Train line managers on goal setting and sharing performance feedback to enable informed decision-making regarding promotions, compensation revisions, etc.
  • Talent Management: Implement periodic talent reviews and ensure development/retention plans are executed. Create and implement succession plans for critical roles. Identify talent priorities, understand development needs, and drive programs to address these gaps.
  • Learning & Development: Foster a culture of learning and high performance. Identify training needs, prepare training calendars, and evaluate training efficacy. Collaborate with the corporate HR team to implement various training programs for the site.
  • HR Compliance & Statutory Obligations: Ensure HR legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable statutory laws, maintaining records, and representing the organization at relevant associations. Liaise with statutory bodies and government agencies like Labour offices, Factory Inspector Offices, Gram Panchayats, Welfare Fund Offices, and PF to maintain compliance.
  • Labour Management: Maintain harmonious and productive IR environments. Monitor productivity, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to statutory compliances by workforce vendors. Promote a healthy work environment, resolve employee grievances timely, and take necessary disciplinary actions as per established processes.
  • Employee Engagement & Wellbeing: Develop initiatives and activities impacting key drivers of employee engagement. Lead wellbeing initiatives aiming for holistic employee wellbeing.
  • HR Operations: Supervise and review HR operations related to the employee lifecycle, focusing on streamlining and improving efficiency.
  • Leadership Development: Guide and coach HR team members to take higher responsibility, effective stakeholder management, and develop next-level leaders.
  • Special Projects: Support conceptualization and execution of special HR-related projects addressing specific business needs.

Educational Qualifications

MBA HR / Masters in Human Resource Management

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience handling HR functions. Experience in manufacturing settings is preferred.
