About the Role

Our organisation is seeking a dedicated and experienced physiotherapist to support the well-being and development of children with diverse needs.

This role involves conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, developing and implementing individualised treatment plans, and delivering 1:1 and group physiotherapy sessions tailored to each child's developmental level and physical needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, occupational therapists, and school nurses to provide comprehensive support for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for children with diverse needs.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualised treatment plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other health professionals.
  • Deliver 1:1 and group physiotherapy sessions tailored to each child's developmental level and physical needs.
  • Provide support for physical access and mobility within the school environment.
  • Monitor progress and outcomes using evidence-based tools and update care plans accordingly.
  • Support pupils with postural management programs and safe handling strategies.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, occupational therapists, and school nurses.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with professional standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc) and HCPC registration.
  • Manual Handling and Safeguarding Children.
  • Knowledge of conditions affecting motor development and experience with specialist equipment.
