Key Responsibilities:

Operates sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in a wastewater treatment plant to regulate the flow of sewage.

Monitors control panels and adjusts valves and gates manually or by remote control to control the flow of sewage.

Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings and test results to determine load requirements.

Starts and stops pumps to control the flow of raw sewage through pre-treatment, settling, aeration, sludge dewatering, and sludge digestion processes.

Ensures compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

Education and Training:

  • Technical diploma in mechanical or chemical field

Work Experience:

  • 5 years' experience in similar position

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills in English and Arabic is an asset
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills

Additional Information:

This role requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
