Establish Strategic Data Leadership

Job Description:

As a strategic data governance professional, you will lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. This role requires partnering with business and technology leaders to shape and advance a robust data governance framework ensuring accurate, accessible, consistent, and secure data.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of an effective data governance framework across the organization.
  • Define and enforce clear roles and responsibilities for data owners and stewards, collaborating with extended teams and leadership to drive issue resolution and escalation.
  • Develop and implement data quality standards, validation rules, and monitoring processes to ensure data integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Direct the classification of data assets based on sensitivity, regulatory impact, and business value, partnering with Privacy, Security, and Legal teams to apply appropriate controls.

Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Management, Data Science, etc.).


• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.


• Strong technical expertise, including both business acumen and strategic thinking, as well as the ability to identify issues and contribute to problem-solving solutions.


• Ability to multitask effectively, deal with change and ambiguity, and foster healthy working relationships.


• A self-starter who can navigate complex organizational structures.


• Experience in Data Governance, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, or IT Audit is preferred.


• Basic knowledge of industry-leading data governance principles, practices, and technologies, including understanding significant related regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.).
